"Own Your Narrative: Why I'm Relaunching My Personal Website"
Google my name right now — what comes up?
A 2016 story about a startup food truck, some 2022 fundraising news, a handful of corporate registration records, and a scattering of columns spread across Wealth Magazine (財訊) and The Millions (500輯). All of it is true. None of it, stitched together, is who I am now. The internet's memory has inertia: whatever the media wrote about you is who you are, until the next story comes along.
I've decided not to wait for the next story.
Why Now
I've spent nearly all my time this past year on AI agents. Not because they're trendy, but because for fifteen years my job has been turning new technology into a scalable business — Facebook ads in 2010, digital content communities in 2011 — and agents are the highest-leverage shift I've ever seen.
Funnily enough, this website is itself the proof. From fact-checking to drafting to building out the whole site, I did it in collaboration with an AI agent. Two years ago this would have taken a small team. Now it takes an afternoon.
What You'll Find Here
- Essays: Long-form writing on AI agents, marketing technology, and the content industry. My newspaper column has a word limit. This site doesn't.
- About Me: The version I maintain myself, replacing the one search engines have pieced together.
- Now: A single page on what I'm doing right this moment, updated every quarter.
If PanSci's founding purpose was putting science back into the public forum, this site's purpose is simpler: putting my own narrative back in my own hands.
